The Rainbow Workshop was put off until tomorrow as one couple couldn’t make it, however, the one that did brought in a quart size hospital drinking container that measured on one side the amount of water coming in and on the other side the amount of water going out. This morning I’m giving my first Rainbow Arriving Workshop, and hopefully the first of many more. We can’t have enough rainbows. I hadn’t thought of that before, but we can have too much of anything, even prosperity and that will turn into boredom, because everything eventually, sooner or later, turns into its opposite—every pleasure will become a pain. When one finds their rainbow, the path disappears as well as the horizon. There is no more search, no more seeking, no more wandering. The call of the rainbow is that it is over there in time, in the next moment, in the next workshop, in the next job or relationship. We need rainbows to move us to beauty, but we must discover that our moving will never find the treasure. Rainbows are tricksters, a prankster that runs before us dangling fulfillment before us like a carrot, and we run until we are exhausted by our hunger, and when we fall to the earth and look into the dust of our defeat or into the pit of our suffering, there, right there inside our heart is the pot of gold—and it was there all along!
