The wisdom of Puja..or finding the true cat food: This thought rose in me this morning as I digested the total absence of response to my newspaper ad for a stress removal class here on Monday night.
You see, since Freedom, my daughter’s cat, came to live with us, our cat, Puja (which means worship), has become totally addicted to canned cat food. We started her on this path when she stopped eating her dried food, apparently a stress reaction to the inconvenient arrival of Freedom. The first flavor we gave her was Beef and Salmon, and she couldn’t get enough.
But when we offered Salmon, which came in a mixed case of Friskies we got at Costco, she would just sit next to the dish and look up at us and wait. So we tried, Whitefish….still sitting and waiting. I bought a can of Grill…”Oh, this is great,” she said, and you could hear the dish knocking up against the wall as she licked it clean.
At Wal-Mart the other day, since the Grill was gone, I thought I’d give her a special treat, more Beef and Salmon….Sit and wait. “What? You loved this.” Obviously, Grill is the true cat food for Puja. This is the flavor that removes the suffering of hunger.
So, what does this have to do with my can of Stress Removal that no body wanted. I am convinced that people are hungry to be relieved of their stress, and that they are just…sitting and waiting, patiently, I might add, while I search for the perfect flavor that will work here in Southside. People will recognize it when they see it. So, be patient, please.
